“Che cosa indossa a letto?” “Soltanto poche gocce di Chanel N°5”: una semplice dichiarazione, fatta per solleticare la fantasia dei reporter uomini dell’epoca e il gioco era fatto. Chanel N°5 divenne un vero e proprio oggetto del desiderio, merito – anche – di questa frase di Marilyn Monroe, trasformata in un’involontaria testimonial della fragranza. E le vendite del famoso profumo si sono impennate. Ma l’attrice non è certo l’unico esempio di personaggio famoso ad aver dichiarato il suo amore a un prodotto beauty.
Il caso Pharrell Williams. L’ultimo in ordine di tempo è stato Pharrell Williams che, durante un’intervista a una radio newyorkese, ha citato Cetaphil, un detergente quotidiano per il viso considerato, a detta del cantante, responsabile del suo aspetto giovanile. E il produttore musicale è soltanto l’ultimo: la risposta italiana è stata Nicola Savino che, durante il programma Deejay Chiama Italia, ha affermato di “rubare” quotidianamente alla moglie la creme Bio-Perfomance di Shiseido.
Tra Principi e Re del palcoscenico. Ha fatto notizia anche il fatto che il Principe Harry d’Inghilterra durante la spedizione Walking with the Wounded Allied Challenge al Polo Sud abbia portato nel proprio zaino la Eight Hours di Elizabeth Arden, crema unisex must del marchio dal 1930 e famosa per le sue proprietà altamente emollienti e idratanti, ideale quindi per le condizioni estreme dell’Antartide. Mentre Mick Jagger e l’imprenditore Brunello Cucinelli hanno invece in comune la Caviar Extract di La Prairie, una crema viso ricca di ingredienti idratanti e proteine che mantengono l’elasticità della pelle favorendo la produzione di collagene.
