Basta il nome, Vespa. Perché lo scooter italiano famoso in tutto il mondo ha il potere di attivare subito l’immaginario. Di un tempo passato, di uno stile, di una musica e di un certo senso di libertà.
Fatto di viaggi brevi in due, di uscite fuori porta e di decisioni prese così, all’ultimo momento. Fatto di minigonne e acconciature anni 60, di una passione molto inglese per la Vespa e la sua antagonista Lambretta (nella versione decisamente Mod) e degli altri, i Rocker, quelli che invece andavano in moto.
E poi Roma, l’Italia, Nanni Moretti (per passare a tempi più recenti), e un gusto tutto hipster e contemporaneo di recuperare cose analogiche che sanno di passato.
La Vespa è tutto questo e gli appassionati, quelli che le collezionano, le riparano, le rielaborano o chi ne ha solamente una e la usa tutti i giorni, ma è curioso di vedere chi sono gli altri scooteristi, si ritrovano ai Vespa World Days.
L’appuntamento è a Mantova, dal 12 al 15 giugno, che si trasforma in una vera e propria vetrina di stile: come interpretano i francesi lo stile Vespa? E gli americani?
